April 24, 2011 is the Centennial Anniversary of Tsinghua University. China Post issued a Centennial Anniversary of Tsinghua University Commemorative Stamp to commemorative the event. The Post Office of Tsinghua University, also established in 1911, released Tsinghua University Centennial Philatelic Passport on April 22, to serve as part of the event celebration.
The Commemorative Stamp of Tsinghua University Centennial Anniversary adopts Tsinghua's school color – purple, and the stamp's main picture contains the school gate, gymnasium, Tsinghua school motto and centennial anniversary symbol. The design showcases the education concept Tsinghua upheld in the past century and its new look.
The Tsinghua University Centennial Philatelic Passport has on it a centennial postmark, a registered letter mark and anniversary day mark, to showcase Tsinghua's excellent culture and to highlight its emphasis on morality, ever-fresh cultural foundation, and its pursuit that goes with the times. Meanwhile, to fulfill alumni's philatelic wishes, the Tsinghua Post Office released six commemorative stamp marks from April 22 to 24. They are the marks of Tsinghua East Playground released on April 22, the mark of Tsinghua's Main Building released on April 23 and the marks of the Great Hall of the People, Tsinghua Grand Auditorium, and Tsinghua's New School, and the mark of the school's Centennial Anniversary, all released on April 24. The post office hopes to use this special way to record Tsinghua's honors in the past century.
