The Suzhou Post Bureau has been awarded the 'China Quality Award' at the 12th National Congress of the Pursuit of Excellence held in Beijing on October 24, 2012. This is the first time that a China Post bureau has won the award.
The China Quality Award is on par with the European Quality Award, the United States Baldrige Award, and Japanese Deming Quality Award. It was set up by the China Association for Quality (CAQ).
In 2001, the CAQ acquired the Commission of the State Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine to start the review of the China Quality Award (CQA). The aim was to meet market competitiveness, stimulate and direct excellent quality domestic enterprises, and accelerate their development.
It is the highest level quality award in China. Six enterprises were awarded this year out of 53 nominees.
Suzhou Post Bureau's core values are 'Responsibility, Innovation, Humanity, and Harmony'. The bureau has developed 18 innovative products in business services, seven products with their own brands and five brands in social services.
