From November 11-20, 2013, China Post delivered more than 8 million domestic packages, setting a new record for the business in China. In addition, China Post's express service and logistics service business also delivered 43.69 million delivery items, an increase of 59 percent compared with the same period last year.
November 11 is a date made up of four ones, and is considered a special day for single men and women in China. Five years ago, Internet retailer Alibaba began promoting it as a shopping festival, and it has now turned into the country’s busiest day for online retailers, millions of shopping lovers and thousands of couriers.
