PSBC Wins Two Awards for Competitive Excellence2013-12-30The Postal Savings Bank of China (PSBC) won two financial services awards and earned praise for its contribution to developing the rural economy.
The bank won this year’s awards for competitive excellence in the financial institution category at the China Business 2013 Annual Meeting on Enterprises Competitiveness on November 15, 2013. It was also awarded for its competitive excellence as a bank serving the agricultural and rural markets at the fifth annual Selected Financial Organizations with Excellent Competitiveness Awards Ceremony. Both ceremonies were held in Beijing.
Winners were selected by a panel of judges from China Business Journal and the Institute of Industrial Economics of the China Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). Competitiveness among financial institutions was measured by using an enterprise competitiveness analysis model devised by the Institute of Industrial Economics of CASS.
Established in March 2007, the PSBC is a commercial bank that was set up amid reforms to the postal savings management system. Over the past six years, the PSBC has built a nationwide financial services network with more than 40,000 branches. The PSBC has insisted on clear market positioning by serving the rural economy, communities and small- and medium-sized enterprises.
