Chiang Pin-kung, former chairman of the Straits Exchange Foundation, paid a visit to the Tai’erzhuang Post Museum, located in Zaozhuang, east China’s Shandong Province, on April 11, 2014.
Chiang thanked China Post for their efforts in promoting the postal communication across the Straits after visiting the museum’s gallery displaying the history of postal communication across the Straits.
After the visit, Chiang sent Tai’erzhuang Post Museum a commemorative post album on the eighth meeting between himself and chairman of the Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits Chen Yunlin, in 2012. Liu Xiaoquan, one of the winners of the gold medal in the Calligraphy Contest Across the Straits, also sent his calligraphy works to Chiang during the visit.
Tai’erzhuang Post Museum was established in 2012 in Tai’erzhuang, the historic site of a big battle in which Chinese forces successfully routed the invading Japanese army in 1938.
