President Xi Jinping supervised the work of Henan Province Postal Express & Logistics Co., Ltd. on providing express postal delivery and logistics services for the Zhengzhou Cross-border Trade E-commerce Service Pilot Project, while he visited the pilot project in Zhengzhou, capital city of central China’s Henan Province on the morning of May 10, 2014.
Accompanied by Guo Gengmao, secretary of CPC Henan Provincial Committee and Xie Fuzhan, governor of the province, Xi recognized the progress the pilot project has made in the past year since its establishment, and praised the important role the postal express delivery and logistics services have played in the pilot project’s cross-border businesses development.
The Zhengzhou Cross-border Trade E-commerce Service Pilot Project was authorized to be established in August of 2012. Since its establishment, the Henan Province Postal Express & Logistics Co., Ltd. has shouldered the responsibility of being the main provider of cross-border express delivery and logistics services to the cross-border businesses of the pilot project.
Now, the company has opened up direct EMS services routes and airline mail express delivery business from Zhengzhou to 13 cities worldwide, including New York, San Francisco, Chicago in the US, Moscow in Russia, Vancouver in Canada, Sidney in Australia, Paris in France, Seoul in South Korea, Bangkok in Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong and other cities.
