Li Guohua, president of the China Post Group Corporation, was awarded the title of “2014 Excellent Chinese Entrepreneurs of Corporate Social Responsibility” at the 7th China Corporate Social Responsibility Summit, held in Beijing on January 15, 2015.
The summit was organized by Xinhua Web and the Corporate Social Responsibility Research Center under the Department of Economics of the China Academy of Social Sciences. The organizing committee of the summit awarded 24 corporations and 15 entrepreneurs, including Li, with the titles of “Excellent Enterprises” or “Excellent Entrepreneurs” for their significant achievements in fulfilling corporate social responsibility.
In recent years, China Post has launched numerous charity projects and campaigns, which have raised donations totaling more than 425 million yuan (U.S. $68 million), benefiting 2,990,000 students in poverty-stricken areas and 480,000 women and their families in an underprivileged financial situation.
In addition, China Post has insisted on making the development of rural economy, agriculture and farmers its top priority, by providing various financial services to rural individuals and organizations.
Li stated that China Post will continue making more contributions to the development of economy, the harmonious development of rural and urban areas and the improvement of employment in the years to come.
