President and Deputy Secretary of China Post Group Committee of Communist Party of China Li Guohua (R) and President of the National Museum of China Lv Zhangshen (L) jointly witness the debut of a series of special stamps 'Chinese Dream, People's Happiness' to the public at the event.
A ceremony was jointly held by the China Post Group and the National Museum of China at the museum's headquarters in Beijing on July 25 to celebrate the official release of a series of stamps named "Chinese Dream, People's Happiness".
The new stamps are part of efforts undertaken by the China Post Group to showcase the endeavors of the Chinese people to promote national prosperity and rejuvenation, and improve their happiness in upcoming years. They aim to demonstrate a longing for a harmonious and prosperous social life and the continual improvement of living standards.
At the event, President of the National Museum of China Lv Zhangshen spoke with attendees about Chinese President Xi Jinping's official introduction and explanation of the "Chinese Dream" concept. The Chinese President originally made the speech to the public during his tour of the museum, along with other several state leaders, for the exhibition "Road to Revival" in November 2012. The exhibition was a retrospective of a century of China's history, starting from the Opium War of 1840.
For his part, Vice President of China Post Group Li Pizheng said at the ceremony that the release of the special stamps was a great endeavor for the whole nation to further promote the influence of the "Chinese Dream" concept and inspire the public to make contributions to the realization of national rejuvenation.
Meanwhile, General Manager of the China National Philatelic Corporation Deng Huiguo presented an award to Shao Wenjie for her creative designs for the newly released stamps. He Jie, a professor from the Academy of Arts and Design in Tsinghua University, spoke to the audience about his efforts in the production of the series.
Previously, two series of special stamps "Chinese Dream, A Prosperous and Strong Country" and "Chinese Dream, National Rejuvenation" have been released, in September 2013 and September 2014 respectively.
