The 17th China Philatelic Exhibition was jointly launched by All-China Philatelic Federation (ACPF), Xi'an People's Government, Shaanxi Association of Philately, Shaanxi Provincial Post Management Bureau and China Post Group's Branch in Shaanxi at an opening ceremony held at Qujiang International Convention Exhibition Center in Xi'an, capital city of northwest China's Shaanxi Province, on April 8.
Philatelic delegations from 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, along with seven professional associations, brought with them 1,119 exhibition items, whose themes range from traditional Chinese culture, history and aerospace to youth, modernity and taxation.
At the exhibition center, organizers also set up temporary post offices to offer visitors package delivery, stamps and other services.
Those in attendance included Vice-Chairperson of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Honorary President of the ACPF Wang Jiarui, President of the ACPF Yang Limin, Vice-Minister of State Post Bureau Zhao Xiaoguang, and Vice-President of China Post Zhang Ronglin.
