Hundreds of pupils sang the revolutionary song "Crossing Snow Mountain and Grassland" during a ceremony in Huining County, Baiyin City of northwest China's Gansu Province on Sep. 1 to mark the first publication of commemorative postcards on the 80th anniversary of the Long March, which are jointly sponsored by the China Post Group and All-China Philatelic Federation.
The three main Red Army forces were united in Reunion Park in Huining County, Baiyin City in October, 1936.
Designed by Xing Wenwei and Liang Hui, both designs of the commemorative postcard and postage stamps are based the sculpture "Red Ribbon of the Earth" in Reunion Park.
Exhibits at the ceremony also included 15 Long March-themed pictures and 40 stamps.
In line with the event, China Post Baiyin held a point of sale for a range of Long March-themed philatelic items.
