The large-scale documentary series "China Stamps" was named Outstanding Original Network Audio-visual Program (Nonfiction)" in a newly released broadcasting selection organized by the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television.
Produced by China Post Group, the 23-episode series from Beijing is the first large-scale documentary series centered on stamps. It commemorates the 120 anniversary of the founding of China Post, which contributes to society and stamp collectors while benefiting from their support to postal services.
The documentary selected a dragon stamp, the first zodiac stamps and other postal treasures, recounting the creative process in making the stamps and the stories behind their history.
The documentary has been broadcast on dozens of video sites and on network television since March 20, generating strong support in the stamp collecting world.
Finally, "China Stamps" emerged from thousands of entries and became one of 72 awarded works.
Themed "Promoting the core socialist values and constructing Chinese Dream", the series is a national campaign to publicize and provide education on China's socialism with Chinese characteristics and the Chinese Dream.
It is the third time that the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television has given awards for top broadcasting content.
