Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Ministry of Transport Yang Chuantang inspected the postal station in Zongbing'an Village, the city of Shiyan, in central China's Hubei Province, on November 9 during his "Four Good Rural Road" onsite transport service work meetings.
Yang learned about the development of universal postal services and rural e-business, affirming the remarkable achievements of China Post in developing rural e-business, expanding rural logistics and promoting convenient services. Yang also expressed his hope that China Post's express and e-business can integrate further to accelerate e-business package delivery services and expand rural logistics.
By the end of October, China Post Hubei had set up 20,429 retail stations with the capacity reaching as high as 93 percent, including 4,212 "Mail Manager" operations, an e-business platform, accounting for 21 percent.
Furthermore, the province's China Post sales reached 6.1 billion yuan (US$885.2 million), ranking second among all provincial branches, while overseas purchases totaled 126,000, ranking fourth nationwide.
