China Post Group held a working conference in Zhengzhou, capital of central China's Henan Province on October 29 to discuss the transformation and upgrade of its online delivery service.
The event instructed relevant departments to further streamline delivery procedures, which are believed to be crucial for the group's future development, and make necessary preparations for the upcoming online shopping festival on November 11.
Meanwhile, they are also expected to complete the construction of a processing center for postal packages, make necessary adjustments to existing regulations and mechanisms, as well as achieve 24-hour supervision over delivered goods.
So far, the delivery of postal packages via EMS has narrowed from 92 hours to 77 in or above county-level. More specifically, the time used for e-commerce shopping activities via 2,860 Taobao and Tmall delivery routes has seen a reduction from 80 hours to 62.
