As part of an effort to celebrate the arrival of 120th founding anniversary of the China Post Group, which falls on March 20, 2016, the enterprise worked with Guangming Daily and Economic Daily to jointly launch the National Writing Contest about the China Post Group in Beijing on October 9.
The contest aims to collect excellent and original writings from entrants across the entire nation, who are expected to write down personal stories related to the postal firm, and submit their creative thinking about its further growth, from October 9-December 1.
Contestants can submit their creative work in the form of literature, a story, an essay, commentaries, reportage or otherwise, with an emphasis upon the characteristics and dedication of the firm, said organizers, who added that entrants' work should be limited to 3,000 words.
All participants should send their writing via e-mail to: firstname.lastname@example.org before the deadline in December. In their e-mail, contestants should include personal information such as their name, their ID card code number, postal address, phone number and place of work, so organizers can contact them if necessary.
The organizing committee, who has the right to publish or edit candidates' work, will select two winners of a special award, each of whom will receive 3,000 yuan (U.S. $ 470) in recognition. Meanwhile, it will also choose 15 winners of the first title with 800 yuan (U.S. $ 126) in reward, 30 contestants of the second title with 500 yuan (U.S. $80), and 50 winners of the third title with 300 yuan (U.S. $50).
In addition, excellent writings in the contest will be published on two organizing media publications and other channels.
