China Post Group summed up their work in 2016 and arranged tasks for 2017 after an analysis of the current situation at a national postal work conference held in Beijing on January 11.
Main tasks of the conference were to thoroughly implement the spirit of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the spirit of the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th plenary sessions of the 18th CPC National Congress, mobilize national postal staff to adapt to the new normal, make efforts to strengthen the enterprise and welcome the opening of the 19th CPC National Congress with outstanding achievements.
Secretary of the Party Leadership Group at the Ministry of Transport Yang Chuantang attended the event and gave a speech fully affirming the achievements by China Post in 2016, acknowledging national postal workers for their contribution to the development of postal service and proposing requirements for the work in 2017.
General-Manager of China Post Li Guohua released a work report and Deputy General-Manager Li Pizheng presided over the conference.
Li stressed in the report that China Post was in a critical period of reform, innovation, transformation and upgrading, and the tasks of reform and development are arduous. He appealed to the national postal staff to unite around the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core, and strive toward the goals of building a top world postal enterprise and contributing to the construction of well-off society.
Other participants included leaders from the General Office of the State Council and the National Development and Reform Commission.
