Deputies to the National People's Congress (NPC) and members of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) began using WeChat to purchase products at the “Two Sessions” resident service station of China Post Xisi in Beijing starting on March 4.
China Post Beijing upgraded its services at “Two Sessions” resident service stations this year. NPC deputies and CPPCC members can pay not only through point of sale machines but also by WeChat, further meeting their demands for e-payment.
It is reported that nearly 40 percent of orders are paid through WeChat every day at the “Two Sessions” resident service station of China Post Xisi.
The fifth session of the 12th CPPCC National Committee and the fifth session of the 12th NPC opened on March 3 and March 5 respectively at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
