An environmentally friendly postcard themed “Taking responsibility and actions together” was particularly well received by NPC deputies and NPPCC members at temporary post offices in the Beijing Conference Center, Henan Building, Guangxi Hotel and Beijing Asia Hotel during the Two Sessions.
NPC deputies and NPPCC members could receive an environmental postcard if they signed their name on an anti-haze scroll. They could send the cards to friends and family members, inviting people to support environmental protection.
Six temporary post offices China Post Chaoyang set up at Two Sessions residences received signatures or messages from nearly 1,000 NPC deputies and NPPCC members by March 14.
Some plan to customize the postcard when they return to their work units, calling for more people to support environmental protection work.
Designed and developed by China Post Chaoyang, the front of the postcard is a recommendation that lists low carbon travel, waste classification, energy-saving products, a low carbon diet and other environmental welfare initiatives calling on people to support environmental protection and stop the haze. With postage on the back, it can be sent to others as a way of committing to protecting the environment in the form of public welfare communication.
