China Post General Manager Li Guohua met with President of Poland Post Syslav Sveneski on March 17 in Beijing, where they held extensive consultations on cross-border e-commerce delivery services, China-EU railway postal delivery cooperation, joint issuance of stamps and other topics.

The two sides agreed to further strengthen bilateral cooperation and signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Sino-Polish postal services.

Li welcomed Sveneski and expressed his appreciation that he chose China as his first diplomatic visit after taking the position as the enterprise’s president.

With a solid foundation for cooperation, Li pointed out that the two parties have a great future in cross-border e-business market cooperation and development.

He suggested that the two sides cooperate through China-EU rail links and expressed confidence in mutual beneficial cooperation.

Sveneski expressed his gratitude for the warm reception by Li and said he attaches great importance to the cooperation. He also gave his approval of the views and suggestions Li proposed.

The Polish executive pointed out that China and Poland have long maintained a friendly, cooperative relationship and have very close ties in politics, economics and culture.

“Propelled by China’s Belt and Road Initiative, Poland Post will actively promote bilateral sustainable cooperation in various fields,” he added.

The two parties also carried out extensive and in-depth exchanges on the development of traditional postal services, as well as financial and electronic services.
