In response to the strategy of targeted poverty alleviation that promotes industrial products to the countryside and popularizes agricultural products to the city, China Post kicked off its first ULE online shopping carnival on September 1.
Li Guohua, general manager of China Post Group, delivered a speech at the ceremony. He pointed out that China post has explored a new way for the development of e-commerce in rural areas, in answer to the spirit of the No.1 central document and promoting targeted poverty alleviation in poverty-stricken areas.
Li stressed that China Post will take the opportunity of the online shopping carnival to improve functions and enhance the brand effect of the network platform, so as to build a moderately prosperous society in all respects and embrace the upcoming the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
Kong Fusheng, deputy-director of the Department of Market System Development of the Ministry of Commerce, spoke highly of the achievements that China Post has made in the demonstration work of e-commerce in rural areas jointly carried out by the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Finance and the State Council Leading Group Office of Poverty Alleviation and Development. He said that China Post has become a major force in the development of rural e-commerce and hoped it would make greater contributions in the field.
Li Rong, official of the State Council Leading Group Office of Poverty Alleviation and Development, set a high value on China Post's outstanding contributions helping poverty-stricken people shake off their impoverished situations. Li said that the launch of the online shopping carnival not only facilitates China Post to promote the development of rural e-commerce, but also provides better services for the three key rural issues and targeted poverty alleviation.
Zhao Xiaoguang, deputy-director general of the State Post Bureau, Zhang Ronglin, vice-president of China Post Group, Ma Jianping, vice-president of COFCO and other entrepreneurs attended the ceremony.
