A ceremony was held on July 19 to launch a mutual letter-posting campaign between Chinese and Armenian youths in Huangshi, a city in central China's Hubei Province, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the founding of diplomatic relations between Armenia and China,
The campaign was jointly organized by China Post Hubei, the Working Committee on Adolescents at the All-China Philatelic Federation (ACPF), and the Philatelic Association of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
April 6 marked the 25th anniversary of the founding of diplomatic relations between Armenia and China. The campaign was launched to fulfill the Belt and Road Initiative, further enhance mutual friendship and promote exchanges between young people of the two countries.
It was also one of the 2017 National Philatelic Exhibition Tour Hubei Station activities jointly held by China Post and ACPF to celebrate the upcoming 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
Armenian Ambassador to China Sergei Manassara unveiled a commemorative envelop for the campaign with other guests at the event.
The ACPF presented philatelic books, used stamps and zithers to the Armenia Confucius Institute, while 25 teenagers from Huangshi mailed letters to teenagers at the Armenia Confucius Institute.
Manassara said he hopes the campaign will help promote the friendly exchanges between the two countries.
