Member of the standing committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Beijing municipal committee Zhang Gong and Vice-President of the State Post Bureau Liu Jun made a positive affirmation of China Postal Express & Logistics for its shining performance at the 2017 China Beijing International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) that began at the China National Convention Center in Beijing on May 28.
Postal workers introduced to customers its “Speedy Fresh” project, an official WeChat mall mainly engaged providing fresh fruit, farm products and other fresh goods. Customers placed orders on the spot to experience buying various products on the mall as well as the convenient payment system, which also allows them to receive gifts. Postal workers presented cherries, summer oranges and Hami melons, all delivered by speedy logistics from their origins.
They also displayed an automated guided vehicle, drones and wireless charging devices, helping the audience fully understand the applications of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) in postal express logistics.
Zhang asked China Postal Express & Logistics to ensure safety when using UAVs and select suitable sites. He said he hoped that the company will improve sorting efficiency and the quality of its Express Mail Service.
In addition, China Postal Express & Logistics launched a “running express men” activity which called on the audience to follow the company's WeChat (a popular instant mobile messaging app) public account. With shakes of mobile phones, participants could join in the event and the top 10 could get prizes.
CIFTIS continued for five days and closed in June 1.
The 2017 Beijing International Fair for Trade in Services focused on services in science and technology, Internet and information, culture and education, the financial sector, business and tourism, and health and medical services. With the concept of “Openness, Innovation, Integration” in the services sectors, it highlighted market internal demand and invite various international organizations, countries and regions known for trade in services, all China's provinces and cities together with pilot regions for trade in services.
With advantageous industrial and regional resources from home and abroad, exhibitions, forums, and business talks were held to improve international, professional and market success, as well as boost exchange and cooperation in trade in services to achieve “various trade matches, mass business talks and great integration”.
