China Post Group General-Manager and President of Postal Savings Bank of China (PSBC) Li Guohua was honored as the Most Innovative Banker at the 2017 China Banking Development Forum by Sina Finance themed “Future Development of Banks” on August 24.
In presenting the award to Li, organizers said PSBC “adheres to the strategic positioning of large-scale retail banks, building a professional service system, raising the level of financial services in agriculture, rural areas and farmers, and helping agricultural supply reform”.
PSBC has been recognized by the community and customers for its reform, innovation and services in the real economy.
Li delivered a keynote speech entitled “conscientiously fulfilling the responsibility of service in the real economy”.
“As a large state-owned commercial bank, PSBC adheres to service of the national strategy, promotes financial poverty alleviation and continuously improves the ability of serving the economy,” said Li.
In his speech, he stressed the importance of dialectical thinking in economic and financial matters. He said that the relationship between "promoting development" and "risk prevention" should be addressed.
He also shared the experience of serving the economy while promoting the bank's restructuring. Li believes that this was the result of deepening reforms, risk prevention and technological support.
Sponsored by Sina Finance, China Banking Development Forum has been successfully held for four consecutive years.
As an annual banking event, the forum invited nearly a hundred guests, including supervisors, banking executives and well-known domestic experts, to participate in the discussions on several topics.
