China Post joined the 4th World Internet Conference (WIC) held in Wuzhen, east China's Zhejiang Province from December 3-5, 2017 with an exhibition hall themed “China Post -- Online and Offline Comprehensive Service Supplier”.
It displayed the enterprise's modern postal services including rural e-commerce, finance and express delivery services.
The WIC is held in the city of Wuzhen annually by the Cyberspace Administration of China and the Zhejiang provincial government.
The intelligent robot You Xiaomeng and AR interactive experience were very popular in the exhibition hall. Many visitors talked with You Xiaomeng.
Augmented Reality (AR) is a live direct or indirect view of a physical, real-world environment whose elements are "augmented" by computer-generated or extracted real-world sensory input such as sound, video, graphics, haptics or GPS data. AR brings the components of the digital world into a person's perceived real world.
When visitors scanned characters printed on the floor with a mobile app, an image based on a Year of the Dog stamp issued by China Post appeared and made a self-introduction. People could pose for a photo with it and had the photo printed on a postcard.
In addition, China Post Zhejiang hosted an online Light of Internet exhibition hall displaying new achievements by the enterprise in reaching customers.
