China Post and 16 postal branches, along with other 2,301 units, were included in the fifth national civilized units list released by the Central Commission for Guiding Cultural and Ethical Progress on October 5.
The listed postal branches include China Post Nantong (in Jiangsu Province), Postal Savings Banks of China (PSBC) in central China's Henan Province, PSBC in Xingtai and Shijiazhuang of north China's Hebei Province and China Postal Express & Logistics in Hubei.
National civilized units are those that actively cultivate and practice core socialist values, persist in building economic and ethical progress, and develop all undertakings in an all-round and harmonious way.
The selection is based on the Notice on the Selection of the Fifth National Civilized Units of the Central Commission for Guiding Cultural and Ethical Progress. It strictly follows the selection procedures of recommendation, comprehensive evaluation, public evaluation, combined scoring and media publicity.
