China Post Zhuhai in south China's Guangdong Province has signed a formal contract on the 'Post Links Macao' Project with Zhuhai Cross-border Supply Chain Service Co. Ltd recently.
The project got through the postal branch's Macao logistics channel, marking the potential for its business to radiate to Taiwan, Japan, Southeast Asia, Europe and further abroad through Macao in the future, which has a far-reaching strategic significance for China Post's delivery business.
Set up at Zhuhai Park in the Zhuhai-Macao Cross Border Industrial Zone in August 2014, Zhuhai Easy Cross-border Supply Chain Service Co., Ltd. built a comprehensive service platform for cross-border e-commerce suppliers. It’s easier for business enterprise only filing and other record companies and commodities on the data exchange platform to cross borders, complete customs clearances, and improve their warehousing, logistics, foreign exchange, tax rebate and other procedures.
Zhuhai city is richly endowed with a natural geographical advantage in the development planning of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area.
With the rapid development of e-commerce in the mainland, online shopping consumption has shown a rising trend among residents of Macao Special Administrative Region.
To open interoperability channels between Zhuhai and Macao, China Post Zhuhai innovated the ‘Post Links Macao’ project for packages delivery, which includes consolidated shipment parcels and non-consolidated shipment parcels.
According to Macao residents’ way of life, the postal system arranges self-delivery and delivery in logistics, and each package enjoys a service period of two days.
The project will go online this month.
