China Post was invited by the Chongqing Municipal People's Government to participate in the 21st Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade (WCIFIT) in Chongqing on May 25, 2018.
China Post Group has held exhibits at the fair for five consecutive years.
With the theme of “New era, New China Post, New Journey,” the group displayed its achievements in reform, innovation, transformation and upgrading as well as the highlights, which showed the group's new image of a world-class postal enterprise.
Secretary of Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Chen Min'er and Major of Chongqing People's Government Tang Liangzhi met with leaders of national ministries and commissions, and executives of central enterprises and large state-owned enterprises, including Deputy General-Manager of China Post Li Xiong.
The WCIFIT was upgraded from the China Chongqing International Investment and Global Sourcing Fair, which once played a positive role in advancing and implementing the national west development strategy and enhancing the level of opening-up in western China.
Covering an area of 400 square meters, the China Post pavilion was located in Booth 511 of Hall N5 at the fair.
It featured an area with postal enterprises' images, a “Belt and Road” construction area, a postal financial area, a postal express delivery area, an e-commerce area, a Chongqing landscape theme post office area, a 40th anniversary of China's reform and opening-up area, and produce in the "extreme fresh" mall area, etc.
Li Xiong inspected the China Post pavilion and visited the postal workers there. He put forward requirements for the exhibition work during the fair.
The introduction of technology and intelligence were the focus of the China Post pavilion at the fair. Postal workers explained in detail how the AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) intelligent sorting robot works to visitors.
Also on display were the amphibious drone, self-service yellow kiosks, the Internet plus government affairs system, and postal cloud warehouses service, etc.
Visitors tasted cherries, summer oranges and other fresh fruit at the "extreme fresh" mall area. Some of them accessed the online mall on their mobile phones and placed orders.
The China Post pavilion also displayed the Hong Yadong, Qianshimen Bridge and other famous scenic spots in Chongqing. Many visitors from China and from abroad took pictures against the scenic background and printed them out on DIY postcards in the Chongqing landscape theme post office area.
The photos became special souvenirs immediately after putting the commemorative postmark on them customized for the fair.
Visitors could follow the Wechat public account of the postal rural e-commerce, and share the account with friends at the e-commerce area to help China Post's targeted poverty alleviation project.
Thirty-eight stamps were displayed to show the development of socialism with Chinese characteristics since China's reform and opening-up at the 40th anniversary of China's reform and opening-up area.
The new China Post in a new era has left an indelible impression on the visitors of the fair through a series of distinctive and interactive exhibits at the fair.
