Minister of Transport Li Xiaopeng visited the China Post pavilion at the 14th China International Exhibition on Transport Technology & Equipment, sponsored by the Ministry of Transport of the People's Republic of China, in Beijing on May 28, 2018.
Li observed a demonstration of the unmanned sorting system and the command and dispatch information system. Upon learning that the two systems were developed by China Post, Li affirmed the group's independent innovation ability and expressed the hope that China Post would continue to enhance the core competitiveness of the enterprise.
The intelligent unmanned sorting system is the main scientific and technological innovation of the China Post Group, which includes mechanical arms, an Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV), a high-speed shunting device and so on.
The system meets the needs of high-speed automatic shunting, automatic transmission, and intelligent sorting in the mail-sorting process.
China Post also showcased its intelligent mail box, intelligent sending and receiving terminal, amphibious drone, new-generation delivery platform, vehicle operation control platform, e-commerce system, cloud platform, the Nanjing distribution and processing center, Guangzhou mail processing center, Beijing mail processing center and a large number of equipment, system and projects.
All these show the results of China Post's independent innovation.
The postal integrated mail processing center, demonstrated by VR(virtual reality), attracted the attention of businessmen in China and from abroad.
Many visitors tried out the self-service yellow kiosks and intelligent mail boxes.
With the theme of “Science and technology lead innovation, promoting the construction of a transportation powerful country,” the exhibition attracted more than 580 exhibitors in China and from abroad.
The International Exhibition on Transport Technology & Equipment, launched in 1992, is held every two years.
