A kind of small-sized deciduous arbors that belongs to the rose family (Rosaceae), peach flowers, native to China, are one type of the most ancient famous flowers, grown in most areas of the country. Peach flowers in China have a wide range of breeds, including wintersweet-shaped multi-petal flowers and peony-shaped double flowers. Red peach flowers are as red as flames, white ones are as white as snow, and pink ones are like the makeup of a beauty, charming and pleasant. Peach flowers blossom in March and April each year, and the florescence can last for one month or so. Prunus persica ‘Bai Bitao’ are an ancient breed which dates back to the Song Dynasty (960-1279). It has ball-like buds and white wintersweet-shaped multi-petal flowers; its petals are in the shape of long eggs, and the anther is yellow. Prunus persica ‘Dan Fen’ have long round buds, and pink single-petal flowers. Each flower consists of 5 petals, occasionally 6-9, with 5 sepals in mahogany. Each sepal of the flower has fuzz at the edge.
