China Art Festival is the biggest, top-class, and most influential national art event in China. Co-sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and the people’s government of the host province, autonomous region, or municipality, it is held every three years. The 10th China Art Festival, held in Shandong from October 11 to 26, 2013, with the principle of “a gala of art, a festival of the people,” presented a variety of activities in eight categories including Wenhua Prize selection, Qunxing Prize selection, art exhibitions, and trade fair for theatrical products. Wenhua Prize is the highest government honor for professional performance art in China, and Qunxing Prize is China’s highest form of recognition in social and cultural art.
