The 2018-2019 “China Economic Life Survey” was launched in Beijing on December 12, 2018.
China Post Deputy Managing Director Zhang Ronglin delivered a speech at the launching ceremony. Zhang joined Zhao He, deputy director of CCTV’s finance and economics channel, to unveil a new round of large-scale investigation letter cards, and issue letters of engagement for representatives of the large-scale investigation expert advisory group.
Representatives of postal investigators, deputies to the 13th National People's Congress and China Post Shanghai staff member Chai Shanshan shared stories of the grass-roots postal workers with the participants.
“As one of the organizers, China Post has participated in the “China Economic Life Survey” for 12 consecutive years since 2006. More than 5,000 postal workers delivered survey cards to 100,000 households in 300 counties from 31 provinces, and accurately collected the information,” said Zhang.
The survey will focus on the “Better Life” index system and build a valuable data coordinate system to ensure the happiness and security of the Chinese people in the new era.
“China Post will continue to support the work of the 'China Economic Life Survey,’ and make every effort to provide safeguards for the implementation of the survey,” Zhang added.
As a grass-roots postal worker, Chai participated in the event for the first time. He was proud of his personal work experiences. He said that he would keep in mind the original mission of “People's post serves the people,” and continue to provide customers with quality services, and join forces with others to realize the “Chinese Dream.”
The host reviewed the postcards of the “China Economic Life Survey” over the past years at the launching ceremony. A short film was broadcasted to show how postal workers delivered postcards to the people and conducted the survey via questionnaires.
The survey was jointly sponsored by CCTV's finance and economics channel, China Post, the National Bureau of Statistics, and the National School of Development (NSD) at Peking University. It is the largest media survey of its kind in China. With the theme of “40 Years of Reform and Opening-up -- Discovering a Better Life,” the 2018-2019 survey will provide the “China Better Life Index,” “China Better Life Cities Ranking List,” “Better Life List in 40 Years of Reform and Opening-up,” and other authoritative survey data.
