The emblem, mascot and thematic slogan of the China 2019 World Stamp Exhibition were officially released on January 10, 2019.

The exhibition emblem is composed of an origami pigeon with perforations and the Tower of the Yellow Crane, the landmark building of Wuhan. The origami pigeon can also be seen as a “yellow crane” symbolizing the three towns of Wuhan.  The origami pigeon looks like the letter “W,” which corresponds to the first letters in the words “World” and “Wuhan.”

The mascot is named “Binbin” with twigs from Wuhan's Metasequoia trees crowning his head and Dragon stamps in his hand, running happily. The Chinese character “Bin” implies that world civil and martial arts events, namely the China 2019 World Stamp Exhibition and the 7th International Military Sports Council (CISM) Military World Games, will be held simultaneously in Wuhan.

One of the thematic slogans is “Displaying postal information, gathering friends from all over the world,” which aims to promote cultural exchanges, welcome friends from all over the world , disseminate philatelic culture and enhance its image.

The other slogan is “Bosom friend of the world gathering in Jiangcheng,” which means that stamp lovers gather in Wuhan for the China 2019 World Stamp Exhibition to appreciate the charm of stamps and philatelic culture.

The China 2019 World Stamp Exhibition organizing committee widely collected the emblems, mascots and the thematic slogans of the exhibition from November 11 to December 17, 2018. A total of 286 emblems, 86 mascots and 9,605 thematic slogans were collected.

The world stamp exhibition, known as the Olympic Games of Philately Collection, will be held in the Wuhan International Expo Center from June 11 to 17, 2019. The number of exhibition frames will reach 3,500, and philatelic enthusiasts from more than 80 countries and regions around the world will gather in Wuhan to make friends through stamps and engage in philatelic culture together.
