On August 26, China Post Group and Gree Electric Appliances Inc. of Zhuhai (hereinafter referred to as Gree) reached strategic partnership. After they appeared together on the TV program Dialogue on CCTV Financial Channel on August 4, Liu Aili, Chairman of China Post Group, and Dong Mingzhu, Chairwoman and President of Gree, met again and jointly attended the signing ceremony of a strategic partnership agreement between the two sides. Kang Ning, Vice President of China Post Group, and Wang Jingdong, Vice President of Gree, signed the agreement on behalf of both sides.

China Post has been adhering to the development strategy of open cooperation. In recent years, it has actively cooperated with relevant ministries, local governments and large enterprises at home and abroad, and achieved good results. China Post and Gree have carried out fruitful cooperation in delivery and logistics, financial services and postal services for a long time. According to this strategic partnership agreement, the two sides will establish long-term, stable and mutually beneficial strategic partnership on the basis of their respective core competitiveness. Through complementarity and resource sharing, they will carry out in-depth cooperation in product and service procurement, delivery and logistics, financial services, postal services and other aspects to build good platforms for their joint development of new businesses and expansion of new markets.

In terms of product and service procurement, the two sides will give each other preferential treatment, and cooperate in products and services such as corporate air-conditioning, customer retention and marketing. At the same time, they will also carry out cooperation in group purchasing household appliances for their employees.

In terms of delivery and logistics, the two sides will have their logistics systems connected, and cooperate in RDC/FDC warehousing and distribution integration projects, supply chain logistics, trunk line B2B transportation projects, domestic B2C distribution projects, domestic and international postal services of documents and other items, international logistics services, value-added services, etc.

In terms of financial services, they will rely on China Post's banking, insurance, securities and other financial service systems, and conduct cooperation in credit granting, project financing, supply chain finance, settlement, asset management, investment banking, consumer finance, Internet finance, credit card business, financial service consulting, employees’ medical insurance services such as personal accident insurance and health insurance, employees’ securities investment consulting, equities investment, bond and ABS financing, equity and financial advisory businesses, etc.

In terms of postal services, the two sides will strengthen cooperation in such areas as home appliances going to the countryside, distribution centers, distribution and wholesale, commodity sharing, traffic exchange, media publicity and outlet channels.

China Post and Gree have a good foundation for cooperation. They have a huge space and broad prospects for cooperation in that their strengths, resources and channels are highly complementary. The signing of the strategic partnership agreement will enable the two sides to carry out higher-level, deeper and broader cooperation, promoting their mutual benefits, win-win and common development.
