On the morning of September 25, China Post Group reached strategic partnership with Xiaomi Corporation. Liu Aili, Chairman of China Post Group, Kang Ning, Vice President of China Post Group, Lei Jun, Chairman and CEO of Xiaomi Corporation, and Hong Feng, Senior Vice President of Xiaomi Corporation, attended the signing ceremony of strategic partnership. Kang Ning and Hong Feng signed the agreement on behalf of both sides respectively.

China Post has unique advantages in channels and integration of business sectors. In the process of corporate transformation and development, China Post lays equal emphasis on economic responsibility, political responsibility and social responsibility. It actively responds to the call of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and the State Council to increase support for the real economy and private enterprises, gives full play to its own resource advantages, especially the network and capital advantages of the Postal Savings Bank of China (PSBC), and continuously improves its capacity and level of serving the real economy, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and private enterprises.

Xiaomi Corporation, founded in April 2010, is an Internet company with mobile phones and smart hardware connected by an IoT platform at its core. It actively spreads its business in artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), new retail, internet finance and other fields. It has risen rapidly relying on the business model of "smart hardware plus new retail and plus internet".

In recent years, China Post Group and Xiaomi Corporation have carried out fruitful cooperation in express and logistics services. This time, the two sides signed the strategic partnership agreement and established a long-term, stable, reciprocal and mutually beneficial comprehensive cooperative relationship on the principle of free will, equality and good faith. In the future, they will carry out in-depth cooperation in financial services, express and logistics services, postal services, e-commerce distribution and other services to promote their complementarity in advantages, resources as well as channels, and deliver win-win outcomes and common development.

In terms of financial business, PSBC will cooperate with Xiaomi Corporation in the integration of consumer finance scenarios, product research and development, risk modeling, credit granting, quick payment, co-marketing, credit card, supply chain finance, etc. China Post Insurance will tailor individual and family pension, health insurance and other insurance schemes for Xiaomi employees. China Post Securities will provide Xiaomi Corporation with cash and liquidity management, equity investment, bond and ABS financing, equity and financial advisory services. China Post Capital Management will combine the off-line scenario advantages of China Post with the on-line scenario advantages of Xiaomi to explore opportunities for joint investment and business cooperation.

In terms of express and logistics, Xiaomi Corporation will make full use of the advantageous resources of the postal enterprises and carry out wider business exchanges and cooperation with China Post. China Post will provide Xiaomi with such services as warehousing, logistics, express distribution as well as delivery of office documents and other items.

In terms of postal services, the two sides will carry out cooperation in outlets resources and businesses to enhance channel product sales capacity and market share. China Post will make use of its rich online and offline media resources, channel resources as well as its campaign implementation capacity to carry out media publicity and campaign planning for Xiaomi Corporation, and sell cultural and creative products cooperatively developed by two sides or independently developed by China National Philatelic Corporation on the platform of Xiaomi Youpin (www.xiaomiyoupin.com). China Post will provide Xiaomi with government affairs service and distribution services of boutique books and digital media products.

In terms of e-commerce distribution, Xiaomi Corporation will introduce advantageous electronic products such as smartphone and other products of Xiaomi ecological chain companies onto the platform of ule.com (an online e-commerce platform of China Post). Xiaomi Youpin will join the platform of ule.com as a separate dealer, and ule.com will provide Xiaomi Youpin with special area or booth on its home page. China Post, through its online channels such as ule.com, ule shops, etc., will collaborate with Xiaomi in product launching and promotion activities to expand the sales channels of Xiaomi products. On the other hand, China Post will select a number of quality farm produces and poverty-alleviation farm produces to enter Xiaomi Youpin platform, thus facilitating targeted poverty alleviation. The online shopping mall of ule.com will be added to Xiaomi browser, and Xiaomi will provide corresponding niche in related categories.

The signing of this strategic partnership agreement marks the beginning of a new journey for the cooperation between China Post and Xiaomi Corporation.
