The awarding ceremony of the second batch of pilot units of building China’s strength in transport is held at the 2020 National Conference on Transportation on December 27, and China Post Group Co., Ltd. is selected as one of the pilot units. It is reported that localities including Tianjin, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Jilin, Shanghai, Anhui, Fujian, Jiangxi, Guangdong, Sichuan, Yunnan, Shaanxi, Ningbo, Xiamen, and organizations such as China Post, China Railway Construction Corporation Limited (CRCC), China Communications Construction, COSCO Shipping, China Mobile, China Merchants Group, and Dalian Maritime University have been selected as the second batch of pilot units for building the national strength in transport.

Conducting pilot projects is an important work carried out by the Ministry of Transport for the implementation of the Outline for Building China’s Strength in Transport (hereafter referred to as “the Outline”), it is very important in boosting the national strength in transport in the near future. It is planned to accomplish phased achievements of the pilot tasks in 1-2 years and relatively complete and systematic achievements in 3-5 years, cultivating a number of leading and model pilot projects, forming a batch of replicable and applicable advanced experience and typical achievements, improving relevant policies and plans, standards and norms, systems and mechanisms, developing first-class facilities, technology, management and service, and thereby laying a solid foundation for building China into a country with strong transportation network. In accordance with the requirements of the projects, the pilot units shall focus on the implementation of the key tasks of the Outline, explore new ways and make bold innovation in key areas, advantageous areas and urgent areas, and quickly finalize the implementation plan of the pilot projects and the project application. The expected results should to some extent have special features and leading position in the industry so as to ensure that the expected results can be quantified and assessed and attain a good model effect.
