At 20:45 on December 27, 2019, the third carrier rocket in the Long March 5 series (hereafter referred to as the Long March-5 Y3 rocket) was launched from the Wenchang Space Launch Center in Hainan Province, and successfully placed the Shijian 20 experimental satellite into the fixed position in geosynchronous orbit. In order to commemorate this historical moment, at 9:00 on the launch day, Wenchang Municipal Postal Branch in Hainan Province organized staff to distribute philatelic products to 6 service centers, including tourist reception center, Wenchang aerospace post office, Hilton Hotel, etc. Besides, booths were set up to provide on-site postal services such as delivery and philatelic product sales for visitors who came to watch the rocket launch, and the postal branch simultaneously released a series of philatelic products such as prepaid envelopes and prepaid postcards, under the theme of “commemorating the launch of the Shijian-20 satellite on the Long March-5 Y3 rocket".

It is reported that Hainan Postal Branch has been authorized to issue one type of prepaid envelopes and one type of prepaid postcards, together with a publicity franking postmark, to celebrate the successful launch of the Long March-5 Y3 rocket. At the same time, in addition to 4 regular philatelic products, the Branch started with product innovation and designed three collections of philatelic cultural and creative products in the form of "stamp plus", including plaster astronaut car perfume, mailbox aroma night vision humidifier, and long march rocket building blocks. All these products were available both online and offline to customers. What’s more, a Long March-5 Y3 carrier rocket-themed package was launched in particular, which brought together series of philatelic products including stamp sets of the first launch from Wenchang Space Launch Center , the first launch of Long March-5 rocket, the launch of Long March-5 Y3 rocket, and a collection of space-themed stamps from home and abroad.
