Recently, the list of 2019 Touching Transportation Industry Persons of the Year, a campaign organized by the Ministry of Transport and All-China Federation of Trade Unions, was released. Sang Nancai, postmaster and rural postman of Chenggan Post office of China Post Group Yunnan Lisu Branch was on the list, and China Post Group Corporation Limited won the award of Best Organization and Contribution in the campaign.

Sang Nancai began to work as a rural postman of Chenggan Post Office in January 1988. In the past 32 years, he has covered 160,000 kilometers alone on the 380-kilometer postal route in the canyon with his bike and motorcycle, and delivered more than 1 million mail items, connecting the 13 villages in the area to the outside world, and thereby affectionately named as the messenger of Lisu mountain villages by the local people. To the villagers, Sang Nancai is not only a messenger, but also a "voluntary purchasing agent" and a close friend who helps lift them out of poverty. He said: "Travelling on the same mountain road alone all these years, I sometimes feel lonely, but I choose to serve my folk villagers, and I feel happy about it."

In order to better implement the selection and publicity of the "2019 Touching Transportation Industry Persons of the Year" campaign, the Trade Union of China Post Group, together with the Department of General Affairs, the Department of Human Resources, the Department of Party Building Work and other relevant departments, jointly studied and discussed the requirements, and selected 3 candidates out of 28 applicants for recommendation. After a whole process of application, recommendation, primary selection by experts, public voting, expert evaluation and so on, Sang Nancai stood out and won the award.
