On August 5, Beijing Postal Branch and Alibaba Local Life Service platform signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement in Beijing. According to the agreement, the two parties will carry out in-depth cooperation in channel cooperation, express logistics, financial services, brand promotion, etc., and promote mutual development through complementary advantages and resource sharing，

It is understood that, in order to establish a long-term, stable, mutually beneficial and comprehensive cooperative relationship, enhance the depth and breadth of business cooperation, and jointly promote the digital transformation of life service projects, the two parties, on the basis of full communication and consensus, will launch cooperation in the fields of postal culture promotion, brand promotion, innovative construction of supermarkets in postal outlets  and express logistics.

In terms of postal culture promotion, Beijing Postal branch will rely on public traffic of “Taobao livestreaming platform” and “Ele.me livestreaming platform” to change the current situation that the majority of customers who regularly buy stamps are middle-aged and elderly people, and combine live broadcast themes to design a series of cultural and creative products to attract younger customers. They will explore innovative ways for citizens to collect stamps and stimulate potential demand for stamp collection by giving full play to the platform traffic advantage of Alibaba Local Life, and stamps issuance for major events and celebrations.

In terms of brand promotion, the two parties will implement the service functions assigned by the municipal government to jointly carry out cooperation in supermarket livestreaming sales, promotion of agricultural products, distribution of shopping vouchers and online training.

In terms of the innovative construction of supermarkets in postal outlets, the two parties will jointly build the online convenient service system, relying on both the online operation advantage and platform traffic advantage of Alibaba Local Life and the offline outlet advantage of Beijing Postal Branch. They will also carry out digital transformation of postal offline outlets through the way of regional pilot operation and gradual promotion. 　

In terms of cooperation in the field of express and logistics, Beijing Postal Branch will provide Alibaba’s Local Life service platform and its subsidiaries with integrated logistics services including information collection, warehousing, transportation, distribution, etc. under the mode of B2B and B2C, as well as various value-added services such as collection of payment, and document delivery.
