Two projects of China Post selected as service demonstration cases in 2020 CIFTIS

From September 4 to 9, the 2020 China International Fair for Trade in Services (hereinafter referred to as CIFTIS) under the theme of "Global Services, Shared Prosperity" is held in China National Convention Center. In his speech delivered at the Global Trade in Services Summit of 2020 CIFTIS on September 4th, President Xi Jinping pointed out that China decided to hold this important international trade event despite many difficulties in preparation. It shows China's willingness to join hands with friends around the world in this trying time and work together to enable global trade in services to thrive and the world economy to recover at an early date. President Xi also hopes that this year's CIFTIS will present an opportunity and serve as a platform and a bridge for people from across the world to fully showcase the new progress and breakthroughs in services trade and share in the new technologies and benefits of human progress.

Upgraded from China (Beijing) International Fair for Trade in Services (Beijing Fair), CIFTIS is one of the three major exhibition platforms for China's opening-up together with China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) and China International Import Expo (CIIE). China Postal Express & Logistics Co., Ltd. and Postal Savings Bank of China (PSBC) make their wonderful appearance at 2020 CIFTIS, attracting many visitors and exhibitors. During CIFTIS, China Post's project "Leveraging the synergy advantage to help e-commerce companies go global" wins the award of “Service Practice Cases in China”, and the customer value-added service platform of PSBC—"PSBC canteen" is selected as a demonstration case of business innovation service.

In the transport service exhibition area with the theme of " Reaching, Sharing and Connecting Globally ", China Postal Express & Logistics Co., Ltd. showcases its typical cases of serving manufacturing enterprises in their going global and its capabilities accumulated in international logistics services. Postal elements, such as the aircraft fleet of China Postal Airlines, the “China Post” block train of China-Europe freight trains and so on, appear in the comprehensive exhibition area and attract many visitors.

Through launching its own air lines, opening the passage of China-Europe freight trains and the "Maritime New Silk Road", China Post, the main force of cross-border delivery service, has developed a three-dimensional transportation network with sea, land and air means, ensuring the smooth outbound transportation channel of cross-border e-commerce and establishing an efficient, stable and controllable independent international postal network. In fighting against the pandemic, China Post has given active play to the advantages of its worldwide network, providing solid logistics support for the fight against the pandemic and the recovery of economy and production around the world. Relying on 32 planes, 912 international air mail routes, more than 60,000 postal vehicles, 68 international mail exchange offices, 32 commercial ports, 8 bonded centers, 8 large land distribution centers, multiple “China Post” block trains along the “Belt and Road” countries and 13 overseas warehouses, the delivery services of China Post reach 174 ports around the world, covering more than 200 countries and regions.

The exhibition area of PCBC, one of the representatives of the financial industry, attracts a large number of audiences. Taking "ensuring the last mile of financial services" as the theme, the exhibition area highlights such aspects as "inclusive finance", "technology empowerment" and "centennial PSBC", etc., and focuses on the latest achievements of financial science and technology made by using big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, AR and other cutting-edge technologies.

Among others, the "PSBC Life" app, officially unveiled in this exhibition, becomes a major highlight. This app is an online and offline scenario system conscientiously developed by PSBC to satisfy customers' needs for financial services and livelihood together with PSBC's mobile banking. “PSBC Life” embeds financial services into various high-frequency livelihood scenarios to meet the diversified and multi-dimensional needs of customers for financial services in clothing, food, housing, transportation, healthcare, education, recreations, sports and other scenarios.

PSBC holds an interactive activity for "PSBC Canteen" on the spot, where many commodities can be purchased for only 1 yuan. The "PSBC Canteen", promoted nationwide since 2019, is a positive practice of PSBC in fostering digital inclusive financial service. One year later, the number of accounts has exceeded 40 million.
