The first stamp, named “Striving to be Strong”, depicts the image of a heroic, powerful, indomitable running bull. The image of the bull, with its four hoofs raised, head up forward, and eyes piercing, symbolizes that Chinese people forge ahead against all difficulties and strive to achieve the great national rejuvenation. The second one, with the name of “Happy Year of the Ox”, depicts a heart-warming picture of the deep love between the mommy cow and the baby calf, and extends the best wishes for family prosperity, harmony and reunion to people all over the country.

Small stamp, big world, mentioned Kang Ning, Vice President of China Post Group. Zodiac culture is an important part of Chinese culture and folk customs. The issuance of zodiac stamps conveys new year blessings and emotional sustenance, leads the trend of zodiac culture and demonstrates the cultural self-confidence of the Chinese nation to the world.

The year 2021 marks the 100th birthday of the Communist Party of China, and it is also the first year of China marching toward the second centenary goal. Zodiac stamps of the Year of the Ox imply the meaning of “keeping feet on the ground, daring to work hard, pioneering and pushing ahead, staying diligent and dedicated”, conveying the people’s determination to realize national rejuvenation with the spirit of working hard and solid. China Post will stay true to its original aspiration and keep its mission firmly in mind, strive to serve the people with such “spirits of ox” as willingness, innovation, pioneering, diligence and hardworking. It will speed up to become stronger and bigger, build the “national team” of the postal sector and strive to make new and greater contributions to realize the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation.
