On March 29, Postal Savings Bank of China Corporation Limited released its 2020 annual report, which showed that its holding subsidiary, PSBC Consumer Finance, had a strong growth in 2020. PSBC Consumer Finance issued a total annual loan of 98.2 billion yuan (about 14.51 billion US dollars), and achieved growth in both revenue and profit, with a net profit of 402 million yuan (about 59.41 million US dollars), a year-on-year increase of 15.30%, and an operating revenue of 4.863 billion yuan (about 718.75 million US dollars), a year-on-year increase of 30.56%.
Facing the outbreak of COVID-19, PSBC Consumer Finance launched self-service online in the first place, using IVR automatic voice service platform to ensure uninterrupted service. In addition, it opened green channels for customers affected by the epidemic, and actively participated in epidemic prevention and work resumption. In the second half of the year 2020, PSBC Consumer Finance launched its self-developed intelligent dialogue robot "U-post cloud customer service", which is a brand-new upgrade of intelligent customer service. The new cloud customer service can provide customers with safe and convenient "zero contact" financial services including video acceptance of customer demands, a return visit of fund use, online mediation, and so on.
While conducting COVID-19 prevention and control on a regular basis, PSBC Consumer Finance adhered to the customer-centered principle and actively responded to the work deployment of the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission. It organized rich and colorful activities to spread financial knowledge on social media like Douyin (a short video platform), WeChat, and Weibo (China's Twitter-like micro-blog), etc., to help consumers build up good credit and consumption concepts. In 2020, telecom fraud occurred frequently, seriously damaging the legitimate rights and interests of consumers. Having a high sense of social responsibility, PSBC Consumer Finance designed and made pictures, reading materials and short videos immediately, and held a series of anti-fraud activities together with Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department, further helping consumers identify and prevent financial risks.
