At 2 a.m. on April 5, a plane carrying 9.5 tons of mail and 54 tons of cargoes took off from Frankfurt, Germany, and landed at the Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport, marking the China Post’s all-cargo air route from Zhengzhou to Europe with a breakthrough of 100 regular flights. Since the opening of this air route on June 23 of last year, the transportation time of international mail from Henan Province to Europe has been reduced to four to six days. Most of the outbound international mails from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen destined for 14 European countries have been transferred to Zhengzhou and dispatched abroad via this air route. Meanwhile, the charter flight will carry cargoes and international mail coming from Europe on its way back.
