On June 28, China Post launched a new round of acceleration, which covers over 1,000 cities across the country, thereby the next-day delivery becoming accessible to many provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and areas.
Since 2020, China Post has initiated five major reforms in its parcel, express and logistics services, including reforms of centralized management, collection and delivery offices, mail centers, network organization and transportation. Through pilot projects, summary of experiences and follow-up improvement, the direction and ideas of reform have become clearer, and a good foundation has been laid for a more in-depth reform in network operations. Since the beginning of this year, China Post has optimized more than 400 existing postal routes, reorganized over 300 new routes, and added over 300 routes to rural areas, covering more than 2,000 counties nationwide, with the time limit of mail delivery between over 1,000 cities having been improved, and mail delivery at county level greatly accelerated simultaneously. China Post continues to scale up its own fleet of trucks on trunk lines, and has realized next-day delivery and next-morning delivery through high-speed railway transportation, ensuring a fast and stable time limit. At present, nearly 90 inter-provincial high-speed railway postal routes have been in operation, covering provinces (municipalities) such as Sichuan, Jiangxi, Henan, Hunan, Shaanxi, Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing and Guangdong. At the same time, China Post owns 33 all-cargo airplanes, which, with Nanjing as the center, can fly directly to Beijing, Shanghai and other major cities in China, as well as to Seoul of South Korea, Osaka of Japan and other overseas cities, forming an air transport network connecting home and abroad.
During the National College Entrance Examination Season in June, China Post has made every effort to provide the examinees with safe and efficient delivery service. To deliver seasonal fruits, cherries and lychees have been taken on board the flights, so that customers could get the fruits fresh from the garden. During the "618" online promotion period, China Post has reached down to townships and delivered mail items directly to villages. As the result of the new round of acceleration, customers will get the experience of fast mail service as if the items were delivered from their neighbors. Therefore, the “rapid and convenient” label of China Post’s parcel, express and logistics services will become more eye-catching.
