On the morning of June 20, the first-issue ceremony of the special stamp The Museum of the Communist Party of China and the opening ceremony of the theme post office for the Museum were held in Beijing. Fu Hua, Deputy Head of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, and Liu Aili, President of China Post Group Corporation Limited (China Post Group) delivered speeches respectively. Fu Hua, Liu Aili and Dai Yingjun, Deputy Director-General of the State Post Bureau, jointly unveiled the special stamp. Kang Ning, Vice President of China Post Group, and Wu Xiangdong, Curator of the Museum of the CPC, inaugurated the theme post office.

The construction of the Museum of the CPC is a major decision made by the CPC Central Committee with Xi Jinping at the core. In order to mark the official opening of the Museum of the CPC, this set of one stamp entitled The Museum of the Communist Party of China is issued additionally in 2021 as approved by the State Post Bureau. The face value of the stamp is 1.20 yuan. A total of 8.2 million sets will be released by China Post Group.

The special stamp is designed in the form of a main stamp and an attached tab on the bottom. The main body of the stamp features the panoramic view of the front of the Museum against the blue sky and white clouds, highlighting the grandeur of the Museum. The attached tab depicts the structural characteristics of the Museum through vector engraving lines, showing the full composition and the stretching force of the overall design. The stamps are going to be sold at the designated postal outlets nationwide, the online mall of China Philately, the mobile app of China Post and the Wechat mall for philatelic products in the official WeChat account of China Post Group.

With an exclusive postal code "100100", the theme post office will display rare CPC-themed postage stamps, exhibit and sell themed philatelic products, provide universal postal service and postal self-service, delivering rich and special cultural services to the visitors.
