On October 22nd, with 13 days to go before the opening of the 4th China International Import Expo (hereinafter referred to as CIIE), the delivery service of CIIE certificates that China post is responsible for has entered its final stretch.

Going by the official figures provided by CIIE, the majority of participants choose China Post to deliver their certificates so that China post must complete certificate delivery service within three weeks, with a daily processing capacity of 25,000. Facing such a highly demanding task, the delivery service team devoted themselves immediately to the high-pressure work. Shanghai Postal Branch selected 25 able staff members with professional competency from the postal outlets to build up a professional service team and set up an emergency task force of over 50 staff members, which guaranteed that about 25,000 certificates could be delivered per day. The service team work from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., 12 hours a day, racing against the clock and working overtime to complete the delivery of all certificates within the time limit. As of now, the number of CIIE certificates delivered via postal channels has totaled over 300,000 and all the work will have been finished by the end of October.

The certificate delivery service of the 4th CIIE is quite a complex work. Shanghai Postal Branch set up 8 business counters, 5 prepackaging counters, 3 customer service hot lines and 2 technology support counters in 2 work sites to provide professional services in the whole processes like the handover of certificates, information check, mail packaging, mail collection and delivery, mail dispatching and forwarding, escorted transportation, proactive customer service, and information feedback to ensure the flow of information and goods of the CIIE certificate delivery are safe and smooth. In the meantime, as the designated delivery service provider of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), China Post will not only accomplish delivery service during the CIIE but also throughout the year. In addition, China Post’s on-site services will be upgraded again this time. A themed post office of CIIE will be set up at the center of the business circle on the ground floor, which covers an area of up to 102 square meters, combined with other 5 service points, to provide comprehensive service of delivery, postal services and finance for guests from the world.

Head responsible for the task from Shanghai Postal Branch said that with the approaching of the opening of the 4th CIIE, as the core supporter, the designated delivery service provider of the CIIE and the designated delivery service provider of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), China Post will provide quick, powerful and warm service for the 4th CIIE so as to promote and showcase actively the power and responsibility of China Post serving as the “national team” in the postal industry.
