With the RCEP (the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership) entering into force, the launch ceremony of maritime mail route from Qingdao, Shandong Province, China, to Keihin, Kanto, Japan was held in Qingdao. The first fast and convenient logistics channel from northern China to Japan --- RCEP China-Japan high-end logistics and China-Japan maritime mail route cooperation project was signed. As a fast transportation channel for goods trade to Japan, this mail route will greatly shorten the capital return cycle, balance timeliness and economic efficiency as well as save logistics transportation costs for export enterprises.

The project, signed by Shandong International Shipping Exchange, Qingdao Postal Branch, Dongchen Line Co., Limited and Nippon Express, will facilitate to build the first fast and convenient maritime logistics channel between northern China and Japan. Mails and parcels previously forwarded by air in the past can be transported by China-Japan RCEP express line in the future, and a "maritime shipping channel" with Qingdao characteristics has officially opened.

It is understood that the opening of China-Japan maritime mail route can meet the shipping needs of mail for China-Japan trade and cross-border e-commerce by sea. It has the advantages of low price, stable time limit and flexible operation, serving as an effective supplement to the present consignment channel to Japan.
