On the evening of January 25, the 2022 China Post Online Spring Festival Gala (hereinafter referred to as the Gala), jointly hosted by the Labor Union and the News and Publicity Center of China Post Group, was live streamed on platforms including China Post’s Kuaishou account, WeChat subscription account, Bilibili account, China Post News account on WeChat Channels and the integrated media platform of China Post, which has been watched by 9 million viewers cumulatively and has hit a new high since the first online Spring Festival Gala of China Post. The Gala not only ignited postal workers’ sense of pride in and love for China Post, but also presented the strength of China Post as the "national team" of the postal industry and the brand image of“China Post, by the people, for the people”.
It is reported that the Gala has spread out of the postal circle and been much liked by third-party platforms. Xinhua News Agency promoted the Gala by pinning it to the top of the homepage of Xinhua App. The livestream on Kuaishou was viewed by 8.723 million people and became one of the most searched topics. On Bilibili, the video was officially promoted on its homepage. Broadcast of the Gala was followed by rave views from netizens. It was universally acknowledged that the performances were spectacular with high quality and good forms. It has brought more motivation to the postal staff, and provided the public with more knowledge of and confidence in China Post.
To encourage production of excellent programs for the gala, the Labor Union and the News and Publicity Center of China Post Group launched a voting for best programs of the Gala on China Post WeChat subscription account on January 26, which will last 3 working days. Based on the votes collected online and the expert review (with audience votes accounting for 60%, and expert review 40%), best programs of the Gala will be selected. Among them, three first prize awards, five second prize awards, eight third prize awards and several participation awards will be conferred. Meanwhile, 30 viewers will be awarded the Best Viewers according to the quality of comments and the number of likes of netizens after the promotional article on China Post WeChat subscription account was posted on January 26. At the same time, ten Outstanding Organization Awards and five Special Contribution Awards will be conferred to the units which did well in providing more and better programs and in organizing their staff to watch the Gala.
