China Post has set up 16 postal outlets in the 3 competition zones of Beijing, Yanqing and Zhangjiakou. During the Games, these outlets strictly controlled the procedures of mailing, transportation and delivery of mail items, carried out rules of 100% mail inspection and real-name mailing, carefully registered the addresses, contents and other information of the items, and conducted services with dedicated personnel, vehicles, routes and zones to make sure that the postal channel was completely safe and secure. Meanwhile, the postal outlets would go through thorough sterilization and disinfection every day before opening. Customers would disinfect their hands, and take temperature and make registration before entering the outlets. Taking the measures that people and items in the outlets must all be checked for epidemic prevention, the service personnel strictly monitored their body temperature on a regular basis every day, and wore protective masks, face masks and disposable gloves throughout their working period to strengthen the regular epidemic containment and ensure their security.
During the Spring Festival, postal employees serving Winter Olympics at different outlets stayed at their posts and spent the Chinese New Year at work. They optimized their product portfolio, prolonged their working hours, opened a special channel for online philatelic product ordering, set up a WeChat group for philatelists, made videos to promote their products, provided tailored services of printing personalized postcards and stamps, made boards bearing warm tips for postal service handling process, and organized a special lecture on the theme of Postage Stamps and Olympic Winter Games, thus making every effort to guarantee the provision of postal service.
