Postal Savings Bank of China (hereinafter referred to as PSBC) signed strategic cooperation agreement with Torch High Technology Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology recently to increase financial support for National Hi-tech Industry Development Zones, high-tech enterprises and high-tech industry development so as to promote the virtuous circle of technology, industry and finance.

According to the agreement, two parties will further strengthen communication and foster cooperation in such aspects as improving the sci-tech financial system, innovating financial instruments around the life cycle of sci-tech enterprises, establishing exclusive financial products of “enterprise innovation points loan”, building a customer research and innovation ability evaluation system, training FinTech talents and jointly expanding business, joining hands to establish effective FinTech service system, enhancing the innovation ability of enterprises and promote technological innovation and transformation, helping implement the national innovation-driven development strategy.

In recent years, PSBC has steadily pushed forward the construction of FinTech, totally serving nearly 20,000 technology-based SME clients and granting loans over 100 billion yuan (about 15.85 billion US dollars). In terms of product innovation, PSBC has launched products, such as sci-tech credit loan, intellectual property pledge loan, guarantee insurance loan for sci-tech SMEs, equity pledge loan, and private equity plus loan, providing comprehensive credit services for sci-tech small and medium-sized enterprises, fully meeting their financial needs at different growth stages. In the aspect of service channels, PSBC has set up nearly 100 small and micro characteristic branches in relevant national and provincial high-tech zones.

Taking the strategic cooperation as an opportunity, PSBC will further increase its financial support for the sci-tech innovation clients, continue to enrich financial products, optimize service modes and build a professional team. PSBC will provide targeted financial services based on the business development needs of the sci-tech innovation clients at different stages, helping them grow and develop and making greater contributions to the implementation of the national innovation-driven strategy and economic and social development.
