The Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China has released the list of China’s Positive and Kind Youth for 2022, which includes 142 outstanding young people and 23 youth groups. Two staff members and one team of China Post Group won this honorary title. They are: Zhang Dongyang, manager of Shuangtaizi Delivery Office of China Post Group Parcel, Express and Logistics Liaoning Panjin Business Unit; Shi Quan, staff member of Yuanyang Business Office of China Post Group Parcel, Express and Logistics Chongqing Yubei Business Unit; and the project team of mail transportation via China-Europe freight trains on the Yuxinou (Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe) International Railway.

Zhang Dongyang stands fast at his post, come rain or shine, collecting an average of 545 pieces of mail each day. In his spare time, he takes care of the elderly empty-nesters, contributes to the epidemic prevention and control in the neighborhood, and is therefore recognized as the "good fellow Xiao Zhang". His outstanding performance has won him such honors and awards as the "National Model of Respecting, Loving and Helping the Elderly", the "May 1 Labor Medal" and the "National Model Worker".

Shi Quan, from doing office work to collecting and delivering mail, has been working hard to improve professional skills and striving to become a service model. He has delivered more than 300,000 pieces of mail, covering more than 200,000 kilometers of mail route. He has served more than 5,000 long-term customers without a single negative comment. Shi Quan has won such honors and awards as the "Model Worker in Postal Industry" and the "Chongqing Youth May 4 Medal".

Consisting of 15 young people, the project team of mail transportation via China-Europe freight trains on the Yuxinou (Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe) International Railway was assigned at the critical moment of COVID-19 outbreaks to unblock the lifeline of emergency international mail transportation. As a result, they pioneered the mail transportation channel through international railway, and helped other provinces ship a total of 470 containers of mail to Europe. They also took the lead in working out a standard process of regular mail transportation via international freight trains and provided the “Belt and Road” countries with "Chinese solutions" and "Chinese wisdom".

The young people honored with the title “China’s Positive and Kind Youth” this year are broad-based and representative, ranging from members of youth organizations to youth in emerging fields. With their inspiring and touching deeds, they become role models for youngsters in the new era.
