On August 7, the stamp Education Fostering Virtues designated for personalized service was officially issued. This set of stamp consists of 1 piece. It is designed by Chen Nan, professor and doctoral supervisor of Academy of Arts and Design of Tsinghua University, and printed by Beijing Stamp Printing House Company Limited with six-color offset printing process.

The stamp motif is designed in the form of a picture frame, and inside a circle of perforations is an open area, where the design can be customized, an individualized service which hasn’t been provided previously. The motif is a thriving tree composed of opened books. With the tree symbolizing a youngster, such a motif reflects the theme "education fostering virtues". The tab is conceptually designed by combining graphic elements such as ocean waves, flying birds, morning sun and sailboats with elements such as books, a college admission card, and a school gate, implying that youngsters with lofty aspirations should study hard, forge their character, and strive to fulfill their youthful dreams in the course of realizing the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation. The silver ink of the stamp has mild brightness and strong metallic texture. The colorless fluorescent green ink, pure in color and high in brightness under ultraviolet light, artistically presents the image of thriving green trees, thereby highlighting the theme of the stamp.

The denomination of this stamp is 1.2 yuan. It is sold at the designated postal outlets nationwide, online mall of China Philately (https://jiyou.11185.cn), the mobile app of China Post, the WeChat Mall for philatelic products in the official WeChat account and the WeChat mini program of China Post Group. In order to present more information about the stamp, China Post will release its digital contents through the WeChat mini program “Encyclopedia of China Philately and Stamps”, where philatelists can learn more about the stamp via its AR function.
